Presidents Report-      Bill and myself worked at the capital the last two weeks. 
Senator Olseen and Representative Kalin will be visiting the facility on June 3rd and may attend our local meeting.    A special thanks go's out to Deb Hilstrom, she added  language  to prevent more private prisons in the state.

Update on the Trade arbitration.............. AFSCME will be talking with the Arbitrator for clarification on the award.

International convention, was discussed.    The convention will take place in San Francisco from 7-28 to 8-1.   The membership will vote in June to decide if we are sending a delegate from our local.            

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      

VP report:     3rd step grivenace.......  The employer will not settle on staff being wrongfully denied overtime.   One staff was non-certified this week. 


Tresures report.... working on an audit to be competed before July 1st.  Balance for the month of April is $26,330.33 and $15,000 in CD's.

Bill Stanley and Sandy Olene have researched what other local's are doing regarding a Good and Welfare policy.   We need a policy put in place to be consistent with each and every member.    This information will be compiled and presented at our June meeting.

Good and Welfare.   Bill Anderson has ALS, and can no longer can work as an officer.  Cheryl Wendorff will be approved for vacation donation by next week.   Cheryl will have to care for her husband. 




New business. 

Motion made  ( Depending on if the council will approve)  Motion was for our local to sponsor a Raffle and silent auction for Bill Anderson.    Eric will follow up with the council to determine if we can use our non profit tax ID number.  FOLLOW UP........   The council will not let us do this motion.   We do not have a local tax ID number.  This motion does not pass.
